In 2014, Andrew spent the first half of the CIS Season with the Memorial Sea-Hawks before making the decision to leave Memorial to follow a different academic path. With playing at the university level being his then goal, leaving was a difficult decision to make, however Andrew made it with his education and future in mind. In 2015, Andrew started school at Algonquin College where he continued his education, and basketball career. In the 2015-2016 season Andrew helped Algonquin advance to the OCAA Provincial Championship and received the:
- OCAA All-Academic Award in recognition for his Athletic and Academic Achievements
Andrew attended West Carleton Secondary School where he played multiple sports, but basketball was always his focus. Andrew was the captain of Varsity team 4 straight years and led them to the schools first ever AAA OFSAA birth. Andrew played club basketball for both Ottawa Next Level and The Ottawa Guardsmen.
