Elite Hoops Star Named to Junior Men’s Canadian National Team

Elite Performance Academy basketball star Corey Johnson has been named to Canada’s Junior Men’s National Team (JMNT)!

Corey’s selection process began May 22 with an open ID Camp in Toronto, after which he was selected to continue to a 2nd camp that same week.  From there, he was selected as one of only 21 players to attend the JMNT National Team Camp during the week of June 6th.  After a week of competition with Canada’s best U18 talent, Corey’s performance led to him being named one of the 12 members of Canada’s Junior National Team.

The team heads immediately to Colorado Springs for training, before competing in the 2014 U18 FIBA Americas Championship starting on June 20.

Corey is the only member of Team Canada from Ottawa.  He has attracted multiple scholarship offers for next year, from universities and prep schools in both Canada and the US.

Huge Congrats Corey!
