Bell Media Press Release - OTTAWA (June 12, 2014)

TSN Radio 1200 in Ottawa  announced its broadcast team for the Ottawa Redblacks’ inaugural season. As the official voice of the Redblacks, TSN 1200 delivers extensive coverage of every Redblacks game beginning this Saturday (June 14) at 4:30 p.m. ET, as they take on the 101st Grey Cup champion Saskatchewan Roughriders in their first pre-season game.

Calling all the action in the broadcast booth is play-by-play announcer A.J. Jakubec is joined by analyst Jeff Avery, a Grey Cup champion who spent his university and professional career in Ottawa.

TSN 1200’s wall-to-wall game day coverage, featuring 90-minute pre- and post-game shows and extensive halftime analysis, is hosted by 14-year broadcast veteran Lee Versage. Versage, the current host of the Ottawa 67’s, is joined by former CFL All-Star receiver and Ottawa Rough Rider Ken Evraire.

Throughout the season, TSN 1200’s coverage of the Redblacks is complemented by analysis from a roster of guests, including CFL ON TSN’s Jock Climie, former Rough Rider and Renegades running back Darren Joseph, as well as Grey Cup champion and former Renegades wide receiver Pat Woodcock.
